SATO Selected as One of the Best Channel Vendors 2016 by Business Solutions Magazine’s VAR Subscribers


CHARLOTTE, NC – January 13, 2016 – SATO, a leading global provider of Auto-ID solutions that empower workforces and streamline operations, announced today its selection by Business Solutions magazine’s VAR (value-added retailer) subscribers as one of the Best Channel Vendors 2016. SATO was awarded in the Product Reliability and Adequate VAR Margins categories. This was the eighth year the publication conducted the survey.

SATO is part of a very exclusive group this year, as winners were pulled from the top 5% for each technology category. The Product Reliability category evaluates whether vendors meet the quality needs of VARs with high ranking vendors’ products requiring the least service and maintenance. The Adequate VAR Margins category rates how fairly channel vendors’ products are priced so VARs can make an adequate profit reselling and servicing them.

The online survey of VAR, MSP, and ISP subscribers was conducted from mid-September 2015 through early October 2015. A total of 5,401 validated votes were cast with 2,737 participants. All ballots were reviewed to ensure they were submitted by Business Solutions Magazine reseller subscribers and those that could not be verified were eliminated. To ensure statistical accuracy, Business Solutions partnered with Penn State University. Scores were tallied by the Business Solutions magazine editorial staff using the methodology provided by Penn State University. VAR subscribers were asked to rate their vendor partners in seven categories as follows:

  • Service/Support
  • Channel Friendly
  • Channel Program
  • Product Features
  • Product Reliability
  • Product Innovation
  • Adequate VAR Margins
